Last Saturday over 900 people attended Celebration Community Church’s 15th annual KIDFEST. KIDFEST is a free, fun filled day of carnival games with prizes, awesome music by C3’s worship team, a dunk tank, inflatable amusements, 5 different face painting stations, and Papa Pumpkin the balloon animal making clown. Dozens of volunteers from C3 served cotton candy, pop, popcorn, and hot dogs. Debbie and I along with Craig Kisner and Connie Holloway served Over 500 Hot dogs in less than an hour and a half before running out.
Thank you to WAL-MART for providing the hotdogs and to Troy Thompson of Bimbo Bakeries for the buns. Freddy’s provided the frozen custard.
Celebration Community Church continues to partner with our friends at Hays Academy of Hair Design to offer free haircuts for kids through 5th grade.
Thank you to The Melvin’s & Markleys and all the haircutters of Hays Academy of Hair Design who volunteer their time. This year over 150 kids got their haircuts for free.
KIDFEST is an outreach of Celebration Community Church’s ”Go Fish” Children’s Ministry which meets on Sunday mornings at 10 and 11:30am. Go Fish Sunday morning programming features large group live music and multimedia worship along with small group Bible teaching.
