God's Not Dead

After months of lobbying it’s showing in Hays, a new movie opened here to great reviews and inspired so many to post on facebook the title, “God’s Not Dead”.  The film focuses on a college freshman and devout Christian, finding his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by an atheistic professor who requires all of his students to deny the existence of God or face a failing grade.

The central character is the only student who refuses to deny God in front of his peers and finds himself challenged to defend his belief in God in a series of debates with the professor in front of the class who get to serve as jury.

I encourage you to see this film which will inspire and challenge you to be brave and  stand up for what you believe. A great way to begin to step out of your comfort zone is to invite an unchurched friend, relative, neighbor or co-worker to Easter Sunday services.

Your pastor and partner in ministry,

Kyle
