Since just about the time Celebration Community Church began I have encouraged our congregation to choose a scripture verse of the year to memorize, mediate on and make meaningful strides to live up to what God’s word is challenging you to do understanding that:
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
As this year 2015 began God put on my heart this verse from the first chapter of the book of Revelation.
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near Revelation 1:3
Since then I have looked forward to our teaching pastors focusing on what the Bible has to say to us about the end times.
With today being July 1st we are entering into the second half of 2015, I want to encourage you to re-commit yourself to the verse you picked six months ago or if you have not found one yet do so.
Here is a good verse for you to focus on and follow as we begin this new series:
25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
Your pastor and partner in ministry,
Kyle
