Whenever
the subject of the Rapture comes up, there are a lot of questions on people’s
minds. Those who have trusted in Christ as their
Savior, will literally be transported from earth to heaven in an instant. There
will be no death for those who are raptured. They will be taken—caught up—in
the air to be with Jesus! The Apostle Paul believed that Jesus’ return was
imminent, and that brought great comfort to him in his daily struggles. It is
not difficult to understand Paul’s longing for this to occur when faced with
the trials we are confronted with daily.
The
most well-known verse that refers to the event is found in 1 Thessalonians
4:16–17: "For the Lord Himself will
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the
trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord
in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
Imagine this: you will be going about your business one day when suddenly, in a moment that is so rapid it can't even be measured in human time, you will be caught up into God's presence, and you will be reunited with your loved ones. Best of all, you will be face-to-face with Jesus Himself.

Tonight
at 7pm at Celebration Community Church I will be teaching part one of a three
