God's All Stars

Next Tuesday night Major League Baseball will hold its annual All-Star Game. Ever since 1933 the American League Stars have matched up against the National League Stars. It is a great honor to be selected by the fans to represent your team and league in the All-Star game.  In the Book of Hebrews, Chapter 11 has been called God’s Hall of Fame. 

The one common denominator these Biblical All Stars shared is that they were all champions of faith. By faith they were able to overcome great obstacles. By faith they were able to fulfill their purposes. By faith they were able to do great things for God. How is your faith today? Have you put your faith and trust in Him? 

Congratulations you have been selected to be a member of God’s All-Star Team. And in the game of life in the bottom of the ninth inning you will be inducted into God’s Hall of Faith because you have received from God what none of these other All-Stars received, the knowledge of God’s son Jesus Christ.  

These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. ⁴⁰ God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. Hebrews 11:39-40 (NIV)
