For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory. 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12
With Fathers Day approaching we look to what the Bible has to say about how fathers are to behave with their children. We are to encourage, comfort and urge our children and grandchildren to live lives worthy of God. We learn this from the example that God sets for us.
God is like a loving father who encourages us through His word, the Bible. He comforts us through the presence of His Holy Spirit. God urges us to live lives worthy of Him through the challenges and accountability of our brothers and sisters in Christ, the church.
Be sure to attend services this Sunday at C3 as we celebrate our “ Dad of the Day” and conclude our series A.D.
