Church Growth Plan (Pt. 2)

C3’s first building

Celebration Community Church’s ’s board of Directors have contracted with Brown Church Development Group (BCDG) of Kearney, Nebraska to do a study of our church’s needs and growth and to develop a ministry and building plan to meet those needs. Based on the results of the in-depth study that BCDG conducts, we plan to begin a capital and building campaign at or near the beginning of 2015.

One of the most frequently asked questions is about our church’s current level of debt and will that be paid off before we incur any new debt. Before I answer, first a little C3 history.

After nearly five years of operating out of rented facilities, we purchased our original building in the year 2000 (formerly a run down truck repair garage) and 2.9 acres of land for $290,000. We spent another $500,000 in renovation turning 13,000 sq feet of concrete and steel into a C3’s first Worship and Ministry Center.   We paid off that loan in just over 5 years clearing the way for us to expand by another 15,000square feet in 2008.  Thank God we did because we have needed every inch of that added space for our growing children’s, youth ,college ministries as well as our three EDGE services.

I am proud to announce that we are projecting that our last $1.2 million dollar expansion project will be totally paid off by the end of 2014! Praise God and just in time for He is continuing to bless us in ways that requires even larger worship and classroom space.

It is far too early in BCDG discovery process to begin to estimate what the
next building project will cost, but be assured we will prayerfully make decisions
based on the findings of BCDG, and as we have done in the past, remain
good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us through you.

Here’s what we would like you to do in the meantime:
*Begin praying for the church leadership and the many decisions that will need to be made in the coming months.
*Commit to upholding, encouraging and promoting church unity throughout this exciting process.
*Continue to be faithful in your generous giving of tithes and offerings.
*Let BCDG hear from you!  As part of their study, BCDG would like everyone in  our congregation to fill out a short survey that will only take a couple minutes.  You can find the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/celebrationcongregation Please do so ASAP!
*Mark Sunday, July 27th, on your calendar.  Todd Brown, CEO of BCDG, will be joining us for our three morning services to share his testimony, what BCDG is all about and some of the results of their in-depth study of our church.  Don’t miss this!

Your pastor and partner in ministry,
Kyle
