I'll Praise You In This Storm

He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons. —Acts 14:17

This last weekend, powerful storms ripped through North West Kansas bringing us much needed rain but also overturning vehicles and ripping off roofs. Seeing and hearing a violent storm can be an awesome experience that quite naturally turns one's thoughts to God. In Romans 1:20, Paul told his readers that God's eternal power is clearly seen in the created world. He makes Himself known through nature.
I don’t know about you but I've heard His "voice" many times—in the stillness of the woods after a heavy winter’s snowfall, in the singing of birds on a spring morning, even in a thunderous summer storm that takes down trees and rearranges’ your patio furniture. God speaks to us through His marvelous creation. His power and majesty are inescapable if we would only have eyes to see and the patience to pause to listen.

Kyle
